About the Role
InSight Freight is seeking an experienced Freight Agent to join our team. As a leading freight brokerage company, we specialize in connecting shippers with carriers to ensure efficient and timely transportation of goods. We are looking for a talented individual with at least 3 years of experience in the freight industry to contribute to our continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:
• Match shippers' transportation needs with available carrier capacity to facilitate the movement of freight.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers to generate new business opportunities.
• Negotiate transportation rates with shippers and carriers to ensure profitability and competitive pricing.
• Coordinate and manage the logistics of each shipment, including pickup and delivery schedules, documentation, and compliance with regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues or exceptions.
• Stay updated on market trends, industry regulations, and changes in transportation logistics to provide valuable insights to clients.
• Handle financial aspects such as invoicing, payment processing, and resolving billing discrepancies as required.
• Collaborate with the team to identify process improvements and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.

Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Freight Agent or in a similar role within the freight brokerage industry.
• Proven track record of successfully matching shippers with carriers and managing the transportation process.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong business development mindset.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
